Furever Haven Rescue Inc. Looking For Donations To Purchase Building In Denison For Permanent Animal Rescue

A Shelby County non-profit animal rescue is looking for donations to secure a physical building to establish a permanent facility in Denison. Furever Haven Rescue Inc, formerly known as ARL of Harlan, is operated by Vicki Kuhn of Manilla, created in 2020 after an increase of strays were reported around the Harlan area. Kuhn takes the dogs she can in to place them with one of the ten fosters in the area, but the fosters are filling up but the demand remains high. Kuhn says she receives calls daily from individuals who are wanting to surrender their dogs or reports of dogs running loose and the physical building in Denison would open up more opportunities to rescue the dogs and get them adopted to their new homes. So far, $8,000 of the $60,000 has been raised to help the organization put the down payment on the building. Anyone interested in helping can do so by dropping donations off at Templeton Savings Bank in Manning, mailed to P.O Box 313, Manilla IA 51454, or submitted online through PayPal using the Q.R code included below. Kuhn thanks everyone for their support and encourages all to visit the group’s Facebook page and official website to stay in the loop of fundraising events, fostering opportunities and pets available for adoption.
