Homeowners in eligible communities participating in the 25 Corridor Housing Initiative (CHI) are encouraged to apply for 2026 exterior improvement grant. Residents owning a house, or running a single-family rental property within Churdan, Scranton, Ralston, Bayard, Bagley and Coon Rapids are able to be awarded 50 percent, or up to $1,500 per home in grant funding to use for exterior projects to assist with increasing property values and improve attractiveness for housing in those communities. 25 CHI is a non-profit organization, that provides reimbursement funding for project upgrades to property sidewalks, paint or siding, landscaping and more. Applications, which include details on the project, the projected cost and timeframe of completion should be submitted by main or online to 25 CHI by May 1. All grantees must have projects completed by Dec. 1 with the request for payment with pictures and paid receipts by Dec. 15. Details on how to apply are included below.
