CCSD Celebrating Successes During Public Schools Week

Carroll-Tigers-CCSD

It’s Public Schools Week, a national recognition celebrating and showcasing all the work that gets put into educating youth and the staff that help get it done. Carroll Community School District (CCSD) Superintendent Dr. Casey Berlau says his entire career in the education field has been in a public-school setting, saying he has seen the lasting impact districts have had on students over the years.

While nothing is specifically planned for students or staff to celebrate Public Schools Week, Berlau says public education is something that can be celebrated all school-year long.

The CHS Foundation Kindness Campaign succeeded its $50,000 goal, raising $58,544 that can be used by teachers for supplies, field trips and other education purposes that are not budgeted for in the general fund. But not only that, students had fun dress up days, activities and more that promoted kindness throughout the district and in the community. Berlau says Carroll has had school choice for many years and is proud of CCSD for following its mission of Inspiring Learning and Excellence for All.
