A Cabin Fever Cornhole Tournament will be taking place this weekend up in Lake View, getting individuals ready for the popular summertime activity. Event organizer Emily Meyer says with the beautiful weather we have been having this past week, it got a lot of people thinking about summer. She says while winter is still heavily upon Iowa, the Lake View Community Center has enough space to host an indoor cornhole tournament.
The doors will open with registration at noon, bags will start flying at 1 p.m. this upcoming Saturday. Meyer says teams of two can participate for $50, if flying solo, $25.
Aside from bragging rights, Meyer says the top three teams will win cash prizes.
Anyone wanting to participate can register by contacting Meyer at 641-210-0791 or Teresa Wickland at 712-830-4281. Spectators are also more than welcome to come watch the friendly competition. Again, the Lake View Community Center Cabin Fever Cornhole Tournament Fundraiser will be this Saturday with doors opening at noon.
