Several agencies are responding to a large field fire in Crawford County between Kiron and Boyer. The Denison Fire Department received a report earlier this (Wednesday) afternoon of a fire that crew out of control south of the two communities near the intersection of 300th Street and D Avenue. Assistance was requested from all over the county, including surrounding counties with Breda and most recently Arcadia that got called out to help shortly after 3 p.m. today (Wednesday). Motorist are advised to avoid the area as eastbound E-16 just south of Kiron at Highway 39 is closed while emergency personnel battle the blaze.
