Crawford County is the first in the listening area to issue a burn ban due to dry conditions until further notice. The ban will go into effect on Saturday starting at noon and be implemented until dry conditions improve with precipitation. Open burning will be prohibited and offenders may face criminal charges for any violations. As of Friday evening, Crawford County is the only one to implement a ban, but residents are encouraged to visit the active burn ban dashboard for the latest updates and to use caution to keep individuals and properties safe.
