One person has been killed and several injured in a bus roll-over accident in northern Calhoun County earlier this (Wednesday). According to the Iowa State Patrol, the Iowa Lakes Community College based out of Emmetsburg was traveling near Twin Lakes on Iowa Highway 4 near 220th Street. At approximately 11:00 a.m., for unknown reasons, the bus left the roadway and rolled. The bus was carrying 33 passengers with the Iowa Lakes Community College baseball team that was traveling to Arkansas. All passengers received injuries that ranged from minor to severe. Several agencies responded to the crash, including air ambulances that transported two passengers to Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, with several others transported to Unity Point Healthy- Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge. The identification of the crash victims has not yet been released to the public and no further information is available at this time. The Iowa State Patrol was assisted by the Calhoun County Sheriff Office, Calhoun County EMS and Emergency Management, Rockwell City Police Department, the Iowa Department of Transportation and other supporting agencies.
