The Carroll County Board of Supervisors will consider contracts for labor law consultations, employee health insurance renewals, and the overall Fiscal Year (FY) 2027 budget at Monday morning’s meeting. The board convenes at 9 a.m. in the supervisors’ meeting room at the Carroll County Courthouse. They will open with routine business, including plats and payables, before moving to discussions on proposed agreements with the Region XII Council of Governments for updates to the county’s hazard mitigation plan and with Ahlers & Cooney, P.C., as a resource to help the county navigate complex employment questions. County Engineer Zac Andersen will also be on hand to discuss FY27 limestone quotes for the secondary roads department, followed by FY27 health insurance considerations. Wellmark Blue Cross & Blue Shield provides the county’s health insurance. Increases in the county’s premium costs are minimal this year, but the board will need to consider potential changes to its stop-loss policy. The supervisors have also set aside some time on Monday for supervisors to share any concerns they have with the county’s proposed FY27 budget. Region XII is back on the agenda later in the meeting to potentially provide planning and zoning services to the county. The supervisors will close with manure management annual updates and committee reports. The Monday, Feb. 9 meeting is open to the public and will be live-streamed via the county’s YouTube channel. Links to the agenda and video are included with this story on our website.
