Iowa’s political parties will host their 2026 caucuses on Monday, Feb. 2. Carroll County Democrats from all precincts will meet at 7 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Carroll. Doors open at 6 p.m., and individuals wishing to participate must be in line by 7 p.m. to join the caucus. Carroll County Republicans have multiple caucus locations planned for Monday evening. GOP members in the Carroll and Arcadia wards, along with ones from the Wheatland-Kniest Precinct, will report to the east shelter house at Swan Lake State Park, while Republicans living in the Eden, Ewoldt, and Washington Roselle Precincts convene at the Kerkhoff Shelter House in Manning. Glidden-Richland, Pleasant Valley-Newton, Sheridan-Grant-Jasper, and Union Precincts meet in Glidden at the Albert Kruger Sr. Shelter House. At these caucuses, party voters will elect central committee members, select volunteers for the county’s party structure, and collect signatures for candidates. Individuals as young as 17 years old can participate, but they must attain the age of 18 before the November elections. For more information about the upcoming caucuses, contact the respective party’s central committee.
