The Carroll City Council is scheduled to meet Monday evening for its first scheduled Fiscal Year (FY) 2027 budget work session. The session begins at 5:15 p.m. on Feb. 2 at Carroll City Hall. The agenda includes only one item, and that is to go through the nearly 300-page preliminary budget with the council. Departments tentatively on the docket to go over their budgets include the Carroll Airport Commission, the Carroll Public Library, Public Works, and Carroll City Administration. There is no set time for the session’s duration, and budgetary work can often last for hours. A secondary work session is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 4, for the council to review the remaining department budgets. Additional work sessions may be scheduled if needed.
