During the call, the scammers use the business’s name to fake a sale and collect electronic payments. Glidden city officials have stated several individuals, even some from out of state, have called questioning the legitimacy of the business and the proposed website offered by scammers. Community members are reminded to use caution when purchasing items over the phone or online, and to contact law enforcement if they believe they are part of a scam.
