An Urbandale man has been placed on probation after pleading guilty to grooming charges with a 14-year-old girl. According to Greene County District Court records, 21-year-old Gregory Wayne Pendegraft plead guilty to grooming, a class D felony, after he seduced a juvenile female to perform sexual acts with him at the Spring Lake Campground in Jefferson in June of 2025. Pendegraft was sentenced on Jan. 20 to a five-year prison sentence, which was suspended, and placed on probation for three years. He is also ordered to register on the sex offender registry for a period of ten years and is under supervision as if on parole for the same time period. As per the agreement, the sexual abuse charge was dismissed.
