The Carroll County Board of Supervisors holds its next regularly scheduled meeting on Monday, Jan. 26, beginning at 9 a.m. at the Carroll County Courthouse. The supervisors open with a report from the Iowa Communities Assurance Pool (ICAP) on the county’s 2026 property and casualty insurance renewal rates. They will then hear from County Engineer Zac Andersen on secondary road department operations, followed by a public hearing on a routine Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 budget amendment. The board will consider approving the accompanying appropriations resolution following the hearing’s closure. Other items of business include the appointment of a deputy in the Carroll County Recorder’s Office, which does require board approval, as well as a review of the county’s health insurance renewals, local library funding requests, and discussions on updates to the county employee handbook. Monday’s meeting is open to the public and will be live-streamed via the county’s YouTube channel. Links to the agenda and video are included below.
