The IKM-Manning FFA Chapter and its associated alums are hosting a community meal later this week to support scholarships for its members. The chapter will be serving hot beef sundaes, sides of mac-and-cheese, and a selection of desserts. The sundaes are fashioned to look like ice cream treats, but instead of chocolate syrup and bananas, the mashed potatoes are topped with beef, gravy, and cheese. The free-will donation meals will be served from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the high school cafeteria during the IKM-Manning and Coon Rapids-Bayard basketball double-header scheduled for Thursday evening. Individuals not planning to attend Thursday’s games can still support the chapter by taking advantage of the carry-out option or scheduling in-town deliveries by calling or texting 712-790-1518.
