The Carroll County Republican Central Committee is hosting a meet-and-greet with the GOP’s gubernatorial hopefuls in Carroll this week. Participants will gather at the Santa Maria Winery on Wednesday, Jan. 21, at 5 p.m. for a social hour with the candidates slated to speak beginning at 6 p.m. Of the five candidates considered legitimate contenders for the nomination, three have indicated they will attend. The line-up includes District 89 Rep. Eddie Andrews (R-Johnston), former Iowa Administrative Services Director Adam Steen, and former District 91 Rep. Brad Sherman (R-Williamsburg). A cash bar will be available during the event, and a pizza dinner will also be offered to attendees for a freewill donation to the Carroll County GOP Central Committee.
