Carroll Woman Sentenced To Ten Years In Prison For Stabbing At Apartment Complex In 2024

A Carroll woman has been sentenced to ten years in prison after pleading guilty to stabbing an individual at an apartment complex in 2024. According to Carroll County District Court records, 33-year-old Jessica Lea Harrington has remained in custody at the Carroll County Jail since May 22, 2024 after authorities say she stabbed a 65-year-old male numerous of times with a pocket knife outside of an apartment in the 700 block of E. 18th Street in Carroll. She entered into a plea agreement with prosecution, pleading guilty to willful injury causing serious injury, a class C felony, having the attempted murder charge dismissed. She was sentenced on Monday to ten years in prison, given credit for time previously served, along with a fine of $1,370. She will remain at the Carroll County Jail while awaiting transport to a correctional facility.
