The Carroll Community School District (CCSD) Board of Education meets on Thursday for the first board meeting of the 2026 calendar year with routine items on the agenda. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. at Adams Elementary School, opening with administrative and personnel reports, board policy review before the action items. CCSD Superintendent Dr. Casey Berlau says most actions items are looking ahead to get ready to the next school year.
Berlau says the next action item will be the start of the process for establishing the district calendar for the upcoming school year.
The board will then discuss any updates on the district’s facility plan that involves potential different arranging of grade levels to at some point maybe retire the Adams Elementary. Berlau says no action or formal plan has been made, just keeping the conversation going among the board.
The meeting will end with budget updates and setting a public hearing for fiscal year (FY) 2026 budget amendment due to the transportation facility. The CCSD Board of Education meeting is open to the public and all are encouraged to attend beginning at 5 p.m. Thursday at Adams Elementary School.
