Mrs. Darlene Joan Johnston, age 83, of Audubon, IA, passed away on Wednesday, January 07. 2026, at Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs, IA.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, January 12, 2026, at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Audubon, IA, with Rev. Sean Dougherty officiating. A luncheon will be held immediately after the funeral in the church’s Fellowship Hall. The committal service will take place following the luncheon at the Exira Cemetery in Exira, IA.
A public visitation with the family will be held on Monday, one hour prior to the funeral at the church.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Schmidt Family Funeral Home of Audubon.
