The Nest at Stewart Memorial took a look back at the busy year with over 80 babies that were born in 2025 at the hospital’s labor and delivery unit. A total of 84 deliveries were made, 43 boys and 41 girls. The smallest baby was five pounds and eight ounces with the biggest weighing ten pounds and two ounces. Patients traveled on average 27 miles to Lake City for care from 29 different towns with 51 miles being the longest distance. The first baby of the 2026 year is yet to be delivered.
