A Carroll woman was seriously injured Saturday evening in a single-vehicle rollover accident in Guthrie County. According to the Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred at approximately 8:25 p.m. on Highway 25 about two miles north of Guthrie Center. Authorities say 28-year-old Angela Marie McMichael was traveling northbound on Highway 25 in a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado when she dropped the truck’s passenger tires off the east shoulder. McMichael overcorrected and lost control, crossing the southbound lane of traffic and entering the west ditch, where the vehicle rolled into a creek on its roof. McMichael needed to be extricated from the truck by non-mechanical means and was transported by Guthrie County Emergency Medical Services to Methodist Hospital in Des Moines for treatment of incapacitating injuries. The pickup sustained extensive damage in the crash and was declared a total loss.
