East Sac County (ESC) Community School District is inviting all to attend a special family/community night with a guest speaker all about connectivity and putting down the devices. ESC Superintendent Nathan Hemiller says Joe Beckman, co-founder TILL360, author and inspirational speaker will be addressing attendees with his presentation “Just Look Up: Reclaiming Human Connection w/the SnapChat Generation”.
The event will be on Wednesday, Jan 7 at the ESC Jr/Sr High School in Lake View, starting with a free meal, provided by ESC PTO and Swing Fore The Kids committee. Hemiller says Beckman will start his presentation at 6:30 p.m. and will walk away with a “screen-time plan” and statistics on how technology impacts kids and families currently in society.
Hemiller says he has heard Beckman speak many times in the last decade and came to ESC schools about two years ago. Hemiller says high school students have been requesting for him to come back and is thankful for the sponsors to make it possible.
Again, ESC special family/community night featuring guest speaker Joe Beckman will be this upcoming Wednesday will a free meal at 6 p.m. The presentation is planned to last around an hour.
