The Knights of Columbus Charles Carroll Council #780 are combining two staples of wintertime this Friday: soup and basketball. The Knights of Columbus Scholarship Soup Supper will be held from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 2 in the Kuemper Catholic High School (KHS) cafeteria. According to Grand Knight Jason Schwarte, the meal coincides with the annual Catholic Classic basketball tournament.
Schwarte says meals are $10 for adults and just $4 for kids 11 years old or younger.
He adds that the meals also come with a sandwich, dessert, and a drink. Schwarte says the money the Knights of Columbus raise through their soup dinner goes right back into the community for area students.
Again, the Carroll Knights of Columbus soup supper is Friday, Jan. 2, from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the KHS cafeteria.
