The North American Aerospace Defense (NORAD) Command is ready to keep a close eye on Santa Claus tonight (Wednesday) as the beloved NORAD Tracks Santa program marks its 70th anniversary. NORAD, which monitors and defends North American airspace around the clock, will take on its annual holiday mission Dec. 24 by following Santa’s journey around the world as he delivers gifts to children, and people can follow along online at www.noradsanta.org. Callers can also reach live operators at 1-877-HI-NORAD until 1 a.m. Central Time (CT) to ask about Santa’s location. NORAD officials say U.S. and Canadian personnel are proud to continue the tradition, made possible through the support of numerous public and private contributors worldwide.
