Earlier in December, the City of Glidden and the Glidden Auxiliary hosted a Mitten Tree Drive and were able to collect and donate over 300 items to students at the Glidden-Ralston (GR) Community School District and for local veterans. Organizers were asking for residents to come together to donate new winter gear to keep students and veterans warm this winter season. Over 250 gloves, hats, jackets, boots, and other winter clothing were donated to help students in the G-R district and 50 items for veterans in Carroll County. City staff and members of the auxiliary wish to thank everyone who donated to help make this possible.
