Two men from Glidden are facing felony theft charges in connection to a stolen trailer out of Lake City last month. According to Carroll County District Court records, 43-year-old Billy Duane McPherson and 49-year-old James Don Miller allegedly possessed a stolen trailer, with Miller spray painting and “redoing” the trailer before requesting McPherson to register it as “homemade” before attempting to resell it around Nov. 24. Both men were taken into custody and each charged with one count second degree theft, a class D felony. Arraignment hearings have been scheduled for Jan 8, 2026 at the Carroll County Courthouse. If convicted, a class D felony carries a maximum penalty of up to five years in prison and $10,245 in fines.
