Carroll Public Library Hosting Series Of Activities Over Winter Break

The Christmas holiday is next week, which means students will be on winter break from school and at home, the Carroll Public Library will be hosting a series of activities to keep kids entertained while school is out. Library Director Wendy Johnson says from Dec. 26 through Jan. 5, five events have been scheduled, ranging from a movie day to a scavenger hunt. The fun will begin on Friday, Dec. 26 at 2 p.m. with a showing of the movie “Wicked: Part 1”, with Johnson saying Monday, Dec. 29 focusing on STEM activities.

Johnson says on Tuesday, Dec. 30, a pop up event of Winter Library Minigolf always draws a crowd. Participates will compete is various putting challenges created by the library staff from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Johnson says that will be wrapping up the library activities for 2025.

Aside from the activities, Johnson encourages everyone to check out items they have available every day, such as games, craft activity kits, dvds and more. Readers can also get signed up for the first Beanstack challenge for 2026 on News Years Resolutions.
