The sixth annual Wall Lake Christmas Raffle, hosted by the Wall Lake Community Club, will be this weekend, featuring soup, games, visit with Santa plus more. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Wall Lake Community Center, volunteers will have soup, sandwiches and cookies prepared for a meal, while participants can also ride on a firetruck, play Bingo and have their picture taken with Santa. Raffle tickets for adult and kids prizes can also be purchased, one ticket for $5, three for $10, and a book or ten tickets for $30. Prizes have been donated by local businesses and individuals which include: community center rental, fitness pass, T.V and more for the adults and bikes and various toys for the kids. Tickets can be purchased from Lynn Grosely at the Wall Lake City Office, Doc’s Place and Albrecht Oil or by contacting Nancy Herrig at 712-830-6296. In the gift of giving, attendees are asked to bring in a nonperishable food or personal hygiene product to donate to individuals in need this holiday season.
