Carroll Woman Enters Plea Agreement For Stabbing Man At Apartment Complex In 2024

A Carroll woman entered a plea agreement this week for stabbing a victim multiple times at an apartment complex back in May of 2024. According to Carroll County District Court records, 33-year-old Jessica Lea Harrington was taken into custody on May 22, 2024 after stabbing a 65-year-old male numerous of times with a pocket knife at an apartment complex in the 700 block of E. 18th Street. She was facing charges of attempted murder, a class B felony and willful injury causing serious injury, a class C felony. Per the plea agreement, Harrington will plead guilty to the willful injury charge and sentenced to prison for no longer than ten years. The attempted murder charge will be dismissed. Harrington’s plea and sentencing hearing has been scheduled for Jan. 12, 2026 at the Carroll County Courthouse. She remains in the custody of the Carroll County Jail where she has been confined since the incident.
