Schaller Woman Enters Plea Agreement And Sentenced To Ten Years In Prison For Cutting The Throat Of Victim Earlier This Year.

A Schaller woman has pled guilty and sentenced to ten years in prison for cutting the throat of an individual back in September. According to Sac County District Court records, 35-year-old Jennifer Lynn Rathe entered a plea agreement with prosecution earlier this month on a charge of willful injury-causing serious injury, a class C felony, for horizontally cutting the throat and attempting to stab the eye of the victim with a knife. Per the plea agreement, the attempted murder charge was dismissed. Rathe was sentenced to ten years in prison, given credit for time previously served and a fine of $1,370. She was committed to a correctional facility to start her sentencing on Dec. 16.
