The Greene County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in identifying at least four suspects who were involved in smash-and-grab operations on Wednesday evening at local convenience stores. According to law enforcement, the first incident occurred at approximately 11:37 p.m. at the Scranton Casey’s in the 900 block of Locust Street. Security camera footage shared by the sheriff’s office shows a man smashing through the front door using what appears to be bolt cutters. Another man and a woman then entered the store and quickly stole bottles of liquor and cartons of cigarettes. A fourth unidentified individual waited outside in a vehicle and served as the group’s driver. The burglary took less than 20 seconds from start to finish. Officials say the group later raided Sparky’s in Rippey. Photos and videos of the suspects can be found included with this story on our website. Anyone with information as to their identity or details that could assist law enforcement in the investigation is asked to call 515-386-2136.
