GR Reminding District Families To Attend Town Hall Meeting Wednesday On Proposed Four Day Instructional Week

The Glidden-Ralston (G-R) Community School District is holding a town hall meeting tomorrow (Wednesday) evening to discuss the district exploring the idea of a four-day instructional week. The public is welcome to join G-R administration starting at 6 p.m. in the Smith Gym. Superintendent Tom Ridder says GR started discussing the potential idea back in September, as a way to attract and retain teachers and more specifically students to the district, as declining enrollment continues to be a challenge. The meeting will focus on why the district is considering the transition, how that could potentially look for G-R and feature guest speakers of administrators from districts that already have implemented the four-day instructional week. A question-and-answer session will follow the presentation with attendees. Again, the public is encouraged to join tomorrow (Wednesday) evening for the G-R Town Hall meeting regarding a four-day instructional week starting at 6 p.m. in the Smith Gym.
