Region XII Council of Governments (COG), along with the Audubon County Economic Development and Tourism will be holding an open house for a newly remodeled home in Audubon this Thursday. Executive Director for Region XII Rick Hunsaker requested the agency to acquire the house located at 303 Pacific Avenue back in February, with the plan to remodel it and sell it in their affordable housing program. The Audubon City Council approved of the donation of the house on March 27 after holding the required public hearing. After requiring the property, Region XII had many updates completed, including a complete renovated interior, new roof, windows, siding, and HVAC system, along with electrical and plumbing. A link to view the house has been included below, or all are encouraged to come see it in person Thursday from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Interested buyers of the property need to be first-time homebuyers and fall within income limits based on household size.
