Help Stuff The Bus Reach Its 100-Bag Goal For Community Of Concern Food Pantry

Organizers of the Stuff the Bus food drive for the Community of Concern Food Pantry are extending the event online for a few days to fully stock its shelves around Christmas. Last Friday evening, volunteers packed 100 bags with $20 worth of food, and shoppers at Hy-Vee on Saturday could “purchase” the bags to be loaded on the Western Iowa Transit (WIT) bus provided by Region XII. However, Luanne Kustra, who has organized the drive for the last two decades, says wintry weather on Saturday morning put a damper on the fundraiser, leaving a few dozen bags left to be purchased. Those interested in helping Stuff the Bus cross its 100-bag goal are invited to support the effort via Venmo (@CommOfConcern). The Community of Concern is a needs-based food pantry based in Carroll that serves the county’s residents.
