The Carroll Community School District (CCSD) Board of Education will be holding its December monthly board meeting this upcoming Tuesday due to scheduling conflicts. The board will meet on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at Adams Elementary School. Superintendent Dr. Casey Berlau says the board will hear a presentation regarding the district’s Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) plan.
The next items are routinely on the agenda, including administrative and personnel reports, reviewing of board polices, donations and agreements. Action items the board will consider are approval of early graduates, an increase to driver education fees through Deluxe Driving Academy and bids for a walk-in cooler at Adams Elementary. Berlau says around this time is also when the business office will start working on the district’s certified budget for Fiscal Year (FY) 2027.
The business office will also update the board on the current year budget and the School Budget Review Committee’s (SBRC) request for spending authority from the state.
The SBRC is also requesting spending authority for English Learner students who are enrolled in the program for over five years. The meeting will end with announcements and suggestions for the January 15 board meeting. Again, the CCSD Board of Education meeting is open to the public and will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 16 starting at 5:30 p.m. at Adams Elementary School.
