The Carroll County Board of Supervisors will continue with their Fiscal Year (FY) 2027 preparations at Monday’s meeting, with an agenda almost entirely focused on budget items. The supervisors meet at 9 a.m. Monday in the courthouse’s lower level. They will open with FY27 funding requests from the Carroll Area Childcare Center, Breda Day Care, and Carroll County Soil and Water. At 9:30 a.m., the board opens a public hearing on a routine FY26 budget amendment, followed by the corresponding appropriations resolution. They then dive back into the budget, with initial reviews for the Carroll County Sheriff’s budget, which includes county law enforcement, the jail, and the Carroll Communications Center. County officials will also review the Carroll County Ambulance Department’s, Public Health Department’s, and Home Care Aides’ budget. The supervisors will close the meeting with a valuation report generated on Jan. 1, 2025, which is used for the following year’s tax calculations, manure management annual updates, and committee reports. Monday’s meeting is open to the public and will be live-streamed via the county’s YouTube channel. Links to the agenda and video are included below.
