United Way of Carroll and the Carroll Children’s Museum are partnering together to offer a fundraising opportunity to alleviate some additional stress by crossing off a task on your holiday to-do list. United Way of Carroll Executive Director Mallory Patterson, who also serves on the board for the Carroll Children’s Museum had brought up a gift-wrapping fundraiser around the holidays over the years, and this year decided to put the plan into action.
Patterson says they have been getting a lot of questions on how the fundraiser works, and she says it’s really as easy as it sounds, just label the gifts and drop them off.
Gift wrapping supplies is provided, but if individuals are wanting specific wrapping paper or bows, they must bring those requested items in themselves. Donations of gift wrap, tape, bows, and tags are also being accepted and can be dropped off at the museum. One of the Carroll Children’s Museum Executive Director Amy Schumacher says this is not a solo operation and wants to thank all the volunteers who have signed up to help.
Schumacher and Patterson say all the proceeds will be divided up between the organizations.
Again, support the Carroll Children’s Museum and United Way of Carroll by letting them help you wrap your holiday gifts this year. Gifts must be dropped off by Dec. 20 and you will be contacted when they are finished. Gifts must be picked up after being wrapped by Dec. 22.
