St. Anthony Regional Hospital Releases Renderings Of $32.6 Million Construction Project Set To Begin Later This Month

St. Anthony Regional Hospital has released renderings of what the facility will look like in a few years’ time after the $32.6 million construction project is completed, which is expected to begin in earnest this month. One of the most notable additions is the addition of a new parking deck in the hospital’s southern lot. Parking near entrances has been difficult to come by for patients, visitors, and staff for quite some time, and the new deck will significantly improve availability and hospital access, adding 190 spaces. Also coming to the hospital’s south façade is a redesigned main entrance, featuring streamlined registration and improved wayfinding to all areas of the campus. The other areas of focus for the project are expansions to the emergency department, which will nearly double in size to account for the swiftly growing number of ER visits, added treatment and monitoring areas for behavioral and mental health, and an overhaul to St. Anthony’s imaging services, primarily the addition of a PET/CT scanner. Construction is expected to begin near the end of the month, and hospital officials note there will be no service interruptions during the project. St. Anthony Board President Jeff Scharfenkamp says, “This pivotal investment will improve patient access and care, as well as complete a much-needed renovation of the emergency department, including a new space for behavioral health emergencies. More efficient space means improved and accessible care for all in our community.” Completion is tentatively scheduled for March 2028. Renderings of the project are available on our website with this story.
