Lake View’s Candyland Christmas Encourages Families To Make Christmas Memories This Weekend

A holiday tradition that has lasted for over two decades in Lake View, Candyland Christmas, will be held this upcoming weekend. Lake View Community Club (LVCC) Event Coordinator, Emily Meyer encourages all to come visit to make Christmas memories with the family, with kids crafts, treats and more from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Lake View Legion Hall on Saturday.

Meyer says in between all the activities, feed the family with the soup luncheon or treat them to a special baked good at the fundraiser bake sale.

Proceeds from the bake sale will be going back to the Lake View Community Club to continue sponsoring free events like Candyland Christmas. Meyer says they will be hosting a drive to help kids in need have clothing items to stay warm throughout the East Sac County Community School District.

Meyer says there will be another way to win some prizes and it is super easy to sign up.

She encourages everyone to come up to Lake View the night before, for the start up of a tradition that went away for a while but is trying to make a comeback.

Join the City of Lake View and LVCC for the tree lighting at city hall this Friday at 6 p.m. and Saturday for Candyland Christmas from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Legion Hall to participate in the free holiday fun activities.
