A Bayard man sentenced to probation after pleading guilty to stalking and for eight of the 15 counts of violation of a no-contact order against a Jefferson woman. According to Greene County District Court records, 62-year-old Neal W Schoon plead guilty to stalking, first offense, an aggravated misdemeanor, for harassing the victim by parking outside of her residence and leaving multiple voicemails on her phone. An NCO was issued on Feb. 4, which authorities say Schoon violated multiple times by continuing to call and leave voicemails, which he has plead guilty to eight counts of violation of a NCO, all simple misdemeanors. Schoon has been ordered to over two years in prison, which was suspended and instead placed on probation for a period of four years across all charges, to run consecutively.
