The Carroll Community School District (CCSD) Board of Education will be holding its December work session this upcoming Thursday starting at 5 p.m. Superintendent Dr. Casey Berlau says during the organizational meeting with the new board, it was decided that Thursdays at that time work best schedule wise with the new members. The first item on the agenda will be to hear an update on a new resource that is offered through the district.

The board will follow with discussions on the takeaways from this year’s Iowa Association of School Boards Annual Convention and budget projections for Fiscal Year (FY) 2027. Berlau says next on the agenda will be reviewing the district’s agreements for sharing of facilities and programs.

Berlau says the board will then review the roles and responsibilities of the board finance committee.

The work session will end with a discussion of the district’s master facility plan, but DLR will not be present at this meeting. The CCSD Board of Education work session is open to the public and anyone is welcome to attend at 5 p.m. this Thursday at Adams Elementary.
