Halbur City Hall Offices will be making the move to the fire station within the next few weeks, with a bigger plan to potentially build a new building in the future. A discussion on the move was held during the Nov. 19 council meeting, showing the blueprints of a city hall to be built next to the fire station. Relocating city hall offices was in the original plan when the fire department built the new station in the northern section of town, but the council at the time did not approve. Current council members are exploring the idea and decided to move the offices out of the St. Augustine’s Catholic Church as the next step in the process. Additional details on office hours, on-site access and drop off for utility bills will be coming out in the next few weeks. The move will be completed by the start of the new year.
