MRHC Auxiliary Purchase LUCAS Device For Hospital

Manning Regional Healthcare Center (MRHC) has added a life-saving piece of equipment thanks to a donation from the MRHC Auxiliary. The hospital recently acquired a LUCAS device, which is a hands-free chest compression system that delivers consistent, high-quality CPR at the proper depth and rate. The automated device reduces physical strain on medical staff during cardiac emergencies and frees providers to focus on other critical interventions. Chief Nursing Officer Michell Andersen says, “This device will reduce staff fatigue in emergencies, leading to improved patient outcomes. We extend our sincere appreciation to the ongoing dedication of the Auxiliary members. Their generosity helps ensure MRHC’s ability to deliver high-quality care to our community.” The MRHC Auxiliary raised money through bake sales, raffles, memorial donations, and annual membership dues. Those interested in joining the MRHC Auxiliary may mail their contact information and a $10 membership fee to Linda Vinke, 115 3rd St., Manning, IA 51455.
