New Opportunities has received over 300 requests for toys for children this year, and is asking the community to help fill the Wish Tags. As of earlier this week, 309 children have been placed on a Wish Tag, with their most requested toys on it. Tags are located at several businesses in Carroll, such as Ace, Bombgaars, Dupaco, Carroll Theater, Walmart, New Opportunities Outreach Office, and at Frolich’s Grocery Store in Coon Rapids. Participants are asked to pick up a tag and shop for the child, dropping off the unwrapped toys at the Carroll Rec Center, Bomgaars, Coon Rapids Municipal Utilities, Glidden Public Library, and New Opportunities Outreach Office and Central Office. Gifts and Wish Tags need to be returned by Thursday, Dec. 4. Again, anyone who is able is strongly encouraged to pick up a wish tag to help spread more Christmas joy this holiday season to those in need.
