Stewart Memorial Hospital and Clinics has received the NRC Health Excellence in Patient Experience Award in the Critical Access Hospital category. The award is presented by NRC Health, a healthcare experience management firm, and is based on patient reviews and surveys concerning communication and treatment during their visit. Stewart Memorial CEO Linn Block says, “This award is a reflection of our team’s unwavering commitment to compassionate care and human connection. Every member of our staff plays a vital role in ensuring patients and their families feel heard, respected, and cared for every time they walk through our doors.” Stewart Memorial was one of only three critical access hospitals in the country to earn the distinction, selected from 190 eligible facilities. Both of the other hospitals recognized in the critical access category were also from Iowa, Grundy County Memorial Hospital in Grundy Center and Humboldt County Memorial Hospital in Humboldt.
