The City of Glidden has been awarded three grants through Peace Lutheran Charities, totaling $38,000, to help with various projects and events in the community. Each year, the organization contributes funding to pay for the carnival during Glidden Fun Days, which is what allows the rides to be free for attendees. For the 2026 event, Glidden City Officials have booked Gotcha Games, which was the same carnival that was booked for this past year’s celebration. The grants will also cover the costs of the filter and manifold replacement project at the Glidden Aquatic Center, and support the local senior meal program. The grants are made possible through Albert Kruger who gifted 90 percent of his land profits to Glidden, with the goal to continue allowing the town to thrive.
