Retiring Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) President Rob Denson will be visiting each of the school’s campuses in a single day next week as part of his farewell tour. Denson announced his retirement in January after 22 years at the helm of DMACC, where he oversaw significant student enrollment growth and the integration of new facilities and academic programs. He and his wife, Pat, will kick off the farewell tour on Monday, Dec. 1, at the DMACC Carroll Campus in the Knott Commons from 8 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. The pair then hits the road, appearing at the Boone Campus at 10 a.m., the DMACC Perry Center at 11:30 a.m., the West Des Moines Campus at 1 p.m., the Urban Campus at 2:15 p.m., and the Newton Campus at 4 p.m. DMACC will then host an all-campus and community recognition event for the Densons at the Ankeny Campus on Friday, Dec. 5, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Iowa Culinary Institute.
