Stewart Memorial Hospital and Clinics has named Maintenance Technician Michael Meyer as its November Path to Excellence honoree. Meyer, who has been with the organization for eight years, is recognized for his dedication, leadership and commitment to the hospital’s core value of “Stewart’ship.” Meyer said he first joined Stewart Memorial after hearing positive experiences from friends who worked there. Over the years, he has grown into a key member of the maintenance team. He says, “When I first started, I was a little lost. This is a big facility with a different pace. Over time, I went from being the one learning to being someone people look to for guidance and instruction.” He credits his coworkers and supervisors for supporting his development, including training opportunities that helped advance his skills. Meyer said he takes pride in contributing to significant facility improvements, including clinic remodels. He says, “Stewart Memorial isn’t just a job. It’s a place I work, a place where I can make a difference.” Facilities Director Jon Nelson praised Meyer’s ownership and workmanship, noting his daily impact on staff and patients.
