The Lake City City Council has deemed a dog residing within the city a dangerous animal and authorized to be euthanized after attacking another dog. According to online court records, a dog owned by Margie Rivera escaped its residence on S Llyod Street and approached another Lake City resident walking her two dogs over a half a block away on Nov. 4. Rivera’s dog allegedly attacked one of the victim’s dogs, and inflected injuries. The Lake City Police Department reported that the same dog was involved in past incidents that resulted in viscous behavior. The Lake City City Council voted unanimously to declare the dog a dangerous animal and to be euthanized in accordance with city code.
