The United Way of Carroll is hosting its annual Chili Cook-Off tomorrow (Friday) to raise funds for local agencies that benefit the community. United Way Executive Director Mallory Patterson says they’ll begin serving chili at 5 p.m. at the Piranha Club, with a selection of at least a half-dozen different recipes to sample.
Patterson adds that the silent auction also begins at 5 p.m. and closes at 8 p.m. She says they have a broad selection of items for attendees to bid on this year.
According to Patterson, the United Way of Carroll makes a concerted effort to keep every dollar raised during the chili cook-off local to support projects and people close to home.
Patterson knows a lot of people will be on their way back from the Kuemper Catholic championship football game in Cedar Falls on Friday afternoon and probably won’t feel like making dinner after the long drive home. She says the United Way has you covered.
Again, the 2025 United Way of Carroll Chili Cook-Off begins Friday night at 5 p.m. at the Piranha Club.
