Rippey Woman Taken Into Custody For Allegedly Possessing Multiple Substances And Drug Paraphernalia In Vehicle

A Rippey woman has been taken into custody over the weekend for allegedly being in possession of marijuana, methamphetamine, and Hydrocodone. According to Greene County District Court records, the Jefferson Police Department was called to conduct a welfare check on a woman who was in her car sleeping in front of a gas station in Jefferson. Officers identified her as 45-year-old Tamra Jean Mills and say they spotted a bag of what they believed to be marijuana in the front seat with her. Mills denied that it was marijuana. The Greene County Sheriff’s Office came out to assist in a search of the vehicle, which authorities say they discovered several glass smoking devices that tested positive for methamphetamine, several bags of marijuana and a white crystalline substance, a pill believed to be hydrocodone and THC vapes, along with empty bags and gloves believed to aid in the distribution of the substances. Mills was transported to the Greene County Jail where she remains as of this (Monday) morning. She is facing one class B felony of a controlled substance violation, three class D felonies of two possession of a controlled substance third or subsequent offense and another controlled substance violation, an aggravated misdemeanor for possession of a controlled substance marijuana, and a simple misdemeanor for possession of drug paraphernalia. If convicted, Mills can face a maximum sentence of 42 years in prison and nearly $40,000 in fines.
